Compress Your 1 GB data to Just 10 MB !

U can compress that data in two formats..1) KGB format 2) ZIP format.
For the KGB format it takes 5-6 hours on a 256 mb RAM, to compress 1 GB data to less than 10 MB , but this is not which i prefer because to decompress it, u take the same time.So its useless.Moreover u need KGB archiver only for decompression too !
But if u do it in ZIP format,it takes 6-7 hours on a 256 MB ram,and both WINRAR & WINZIP can decompress it in seconds.Just remember to set the compression level to maximum.
There is option that u can auto shutdown ur computer after the compression is over.SO u can always go to school/college/office and keep it to get compressed.

uhmmm sooo for winrar you just right click do "Add to (file name)" and set the compression to high? cause there is a bit more than that to it. compressing 1.67 GB (1,803,743,232 bytes) at best quality I only got it down to 1.32 GB (1,421,942,784 bytes). sooo yeah... tutorial pl0x0rz or ill fiddle with it and make a video on it once i figure it out

PS: albeit the fact that im no expert, i have handled various files, recently, that were compressed for, in my case, easier donwloadability. the best ive gotten so far was around 60-70% compression ratio, with quality kept unadultered. numbers such as yours, however, imply much higher compression ratio. excuse my skepticism, but i doubt its either a)possible or b)quality safeguarding

What files are you compressing D: cause like compressing the ToyStory pack i only got it down to 78% compression ratio, setting it at the best compression D:
right now im tryign to look up the settings

uhmmmm it depends because according to my grandpa text files can compress ridiculously where as an audio file will only have a compression ratio of 99% or so.

uhmmmm compression ratio refers to what size the file is as a percent compared to the original o.O. meaning that a music file that is compressed would be 99% of the size of the the original o.O. sooooo yeal LEARNZ YUR COMPRESSION RATIO !!! rawrz XD

thats KGB.... it works well but not enough people have kgb.. more people have winrar sooo i use that XD maybe if i know kgb's settings i could compress stuff a lot better with winrar.
